New Uniform and Backpack Guidelines

  In 2005, the Emerald City School District Board of Education unanimously adopted requirements that call for the mandatory wearing of uniforms.  All students in PreK-12 are REQUIRED to wear school uniforms.  Starting in the 2011-12 school year, all students in PreK-12 will be REQUIRED to carry clear, see-thru book bags/backpacks.  The book bags/backpacks can be purchased from area Walmart and Target stores. The book bags/backpacks may also be ordered from various Internet sites including Walmart and Target.  To locate additional Internet sites, type "clear backpacks" in your search bar.
     Those students not in compliance with the uniform and book bag/backpack requirements will face penalties ranging from a verbal warning on the first offense to out-of school suspension on the fourth offense.
